Gary Cernan, Senior Contract Manager

Gary Cernan is a Senior Contract Manager, and has been with JWB since June of 1991. His everyday duties include responsibility for developing and executing contracts with provider agencies; processing budget amendments; and providing technical assistance to contracted agencies. Gary is a member of several Coordinated Child Care (CCC) and Early Learning Coalition (ELC) committees. Gary served as the team leader to assist in the development of a number of innovative programs new to Pinellas County, such as the Family Counseling System of Care, and the Five Star/Quality Counts programs.

Prior to joining JWB, he was the Program Director for the Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens (UPARC) from 1985-1991. From 1981-1985 he served as a Program Analyst for Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS).

Gary lives in Oldsmar, Florida with his wife Donna, son Buddy, and grand daughter Kayli. The family was also blessed with two beautiful daughters Heather and Shannon. Gary graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor of arts degree.
