Lynn DeLaTorre, Senior Accountant

Lynn DeLaTorre is a Senior Accountant and has been with JWB since 2003. She assists the Finance Director in the budget cycle, year-end closing, and with the preparation of the annual JWB audit. In addition, Lynn coordinates the compilation of the Annual Budget report; develops the salary and employee benefits for development of the Personnel Services component of the Annual Budget; analyzes the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of accounting records for all funds and interprets fiscal records to prepare financial reports. She coordinates and supervises the activity of Great Plains accounting applications and report writing for the finance staff; coordinates the compilation of individual department budget data and measurable objectives; reviews annual department budget requests and department budget reallocation requests; performs end of year transactions for funds; and performs pre-audit of balance sheet and activity statement accounts for the audit planning package. Lynn is also responsible for the TRIM (Truth in Millage) compliance process for JWB and for fiscal year end reports to be filed in compliance with the statutes of the State of Florida. She advises and interprets federal and state accounting regulations, and assists with training and directing various levels of personnel as to correct accounting methods to follow especially in the acquisition of software.

Lynn holds a B.S. in Accounting and enjoys reading and showing her Australian shepherds competitively.
