Research Department

JWB's Research Department's responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing the performance of funded programs and agency initiatives so that quality program services are provided for Pinellas County children and their families.  This department provides accurate and timely information about the demographic, social and economic status of children and families in Pinellas County through the development and analysis of data from a wide range of credible sources.  This information is disseminated to JWB staff, community advocates and the general public through the "About Pinellas Kids" website.  Internal and external technical assistance is provided by the Research Department to ensure that program interventions are based on sound theoretical foundations, utilizing valid and reliable measurement tools and establishing outcomes based on goals and objectives outlined in the methodology.  In addition, this department researches and identifies model programs that potentially offer significant return on investment and evaluates these programs for implementation in the community.
